TEDDY AFRO WENT JAIL?
The remarkable Ethiopian singer, Teddy Afro, is arrested. Police says that Teddy killed a person and run away the previous year in the middle of the night at 1:10A.M. He was drunk and was not having a license. It is recalled that Teddy was in court recently for another trial for he had used Artist Addis Gebru’s pictures in his clip, SELEME, without permission.
Teddy Afro is now in Kaliti jail, the city’s largest, till Monday 21/04/08 whence he will reappear. On his custody to the prison many of his fans accompany him much with tears on their face, especially girls.
If he found guilty of in charge, he might spend 5-10 years in prison. Many says that he may even do better art there because he is Teddy Afro. We shall not forget that Kality Jail is a prison in a third country and remember the consequence psychology imprisonment results.
He had an interview with Sheger FM102.1and released a patronizing single which has an orthidox church touch.

WE ARE NOT SELLING POWER OR NOT HAVING?
Fortune, a weekly magazine, magazine interviewed EEPCo’s G/Manager, Mr. Sendeku on its Mar 30 2008 volume with a very interesting phrase “It should be embarrassing to your company, which had a plan to export electric power to neighbouring countries in few years, to fail local customers with the series of power interruptions that we have seen lately?”
We have heard many problems saying “The dam was silted, Less volume of water in station’s reservoirs,…” Are we done now?
It is obvious for anyone that power failure results in loss of productivity. Why not a pre caotion? Why there not an option like diesel generators till EEPCo is done of its mess?
There is one verily interesting saying “If the same stone that hit you the night hits you the morning, you are the stone”. Why the same damme reputation every year or two?

KE-BET ISKE KETEMA ON FM 102.1
KE-BET ISKE KETEMA [Home through city] is a new radio program on Sheger Radio [FM 102.1] by Mahider G/Medhin, a professional Architect. “The construction industry is crawling to walk” says Mr. Mahider on the basis that many of the buildings, even in the capitol, are not fulfilling many of what a modern building needs to have ( like fire extinguisher).
On one of his programs he raised the issue of glass glazed buildings. He interviewed many and gathered most people being selling in those glazed buildings being uncomfortable with the glass. “One thing”, they said, “The locetion of glazed wall with respect to the sun is not considered. Another thing, the buildings are made with no open able windows. There are times where we are forced to work under umbrella being in a room. Isn’t that funny?” they ended with interrogation.
If Mr.Mahider could buy an ear, there may be a reconsideration when one intend to make a building.

DIE AND GET CELEBRITY
Among the verily accustomed trends of work in Ethiopia is that your work become a master piece and you, irreplaceable right after your last breath. I don’t simply say this. I may mention some. A professor who got the chemistry for bilharzia, Mr. Lemma, another pro who did a lot in Ethiopian classic composition, Professor Ahenafi, whose well known composition being “BALEWASHINTU IREGNA” [The shepherd flutist], the only so far known pioneer female composer from Ethiopia, EMAHOY TSIGIE MARIAM (YEWUB DAR GEBRU), even our Metres, Loretes. All valued their accredition in their home country better than any of their international award. The late Ethiopian composer, Mulatu Astatke, same fate he is facing. A Hollywood director asked for his composition be his movie’s sound track [which actually happened]. Yet, his country men wander to get copy of Beethoven’s and Yani’s even that they don’t know very well.
I shall not try to accuse this because I am part of the same trend. I started to appreciate “FIKIR ISKE MEKABIR” [LOVE UPTO GRAVE] as soon as the author got his Doctorate from AAU.
The other thing which I hate is that let some foreign dude or foreign media say something about some one’s work in Ethiopia, then everyone here will appear to judge that they have never seen anything like that. The Emahoy I mentioned above were interviewed on VOA’s transmission. I bet every media has presented one program on her or they are on the way.

SIGN-GET PAID OR WORK GET PAID?
Tale 1:- No matter where you work, there is always “”They” and “Us”. One sets a rule, the other violates. One thing in particular today, signature.
There will be a calendar book wide opened each day [Morning: 8:00 – 8:30 and Noon: 1:00Pm – 1:30Pm]. If you are a kind of sleepy head who get at tenth shout of his bed side alarm and get scared, what would you be scared of? Late for work or late for signing?
Tale 2:- I tell you what? There is this angel who is jealous of a man because the Lord loves the man better than the angel. One day the period was over and the man died. St. Peter took the man all the way to the lord, Supreme Court. The jury gathered dealt on the man, the verdict being the man shall rest in heaven. Here is the base for my tale. That angel [is he a myth?] was assigned to take the man to show him his room or his station [do they call t a station?]. The angel grabbed the man’s soul hand and….God! He flew with a speed of heaven’s light. At the “station” the angel threw the man it be smashed against heaven’s tree. It ain’t gonna happen to angel’s desire. It won’t die it’s a soul after all.

One of the youngest and outstanding music superstars of these days, marked by his creative touches in the music industry, Teddy Afro (Tewodros Kassahun), had informed the press the previous week that he will charge Seifu Fantahu, (An FM Addis 97.1 music presenter) for he had miss expressed Teddy for fraud or missing originality of the song titled “Bob Marley” on his new program “Lemin Yiwashal” or WHY A LIE. Seifu claims that the music is of a direct melodic copy from a Sudanese song “Mobile”.
Teddy bluffed that he will sue Seifu for unjustified possession of the song. Teddy Afro has now changed his mind about the charge saying “I had sang about peace, why do I need to make fight now?” I shall merely walk my way leaving the barking dog aside.
It is recalled that Teddy himself is on a court process for he had used the pictures of Addis Gebru illegally. Mr.
Aren’t good news news any more?

If you are a kid, all that you dream of would be sweets and toys. If you are a teenager, you spent most on peer competition and romantic affairs. Here comes the trouble, if you are an adult, woe to be it, you spend most of your time on “things” which are of less relevance to your joy. I rather not mention my age range but merely say my opinion towards “Things” of little relevance towards my life. (Did I mention my age range?) Let’s say I am an adult who should has to go work every day, come back every evening, buy things, visit kin……So, then a morning will come. Woke up, cloth, brush… you name it & go work. Can we imagine a man expecting each morning as his firs date or as an African citizen to an election? You tell me. But me, I usually see people watching the watch frequently more than anything in the room. I shall not go through the shit considering why in hell do they do that? Because they do that all the time. In my country there are many such things which you shall not ask or strive about but simply live with those. Even all that you get happy about or feel relaxed might be when you are with your girlfriend even that if you are lucky. But if you ask anyone “Do you love your country?” definitely you will get” Yes”. If you get a contradiction here in my idea, you raised the question you answer it!!We all got a trouble to solve (what am I talking about?) or to live with. No husband and if you are getting older each day, be religious. No success, try something else. Bad marriage, stick with your job. Long day, get drunk & sleep ( here don’t forget to take your paracetamol before you do so). Any problem you name it, you will definitely suffer from it till you get a solution (lovely option) or till you make a theory to shade under. (Sorry I got destructed what was my intention originally?) Let me tell you a story. I had a girl who you simply call stunning. But she got this thing that I was not comfortable i.e she track me down. There is this thought of mine that magnifies her fault about this i.e I prefer freedom to love. I dumped her. (Did she dump me?). Any ways, afterwards, loneliness started to haunt me the ups and downs of each night. What do I tell to myself? Which problem shall I overcome? Loneliness or Loose freedom? Now I tell you. But, I still couldn’t figure that out for sure yet.
